Skagit Transit will be closed on Saturday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. We will be open with limited service on Friday, July 3rd.

Our goal is to provide high quality public transportation that meets the needs of the citizens of Skagit County at the least cost to the taxpayer and the user and in the process contribute to the county's economy and quality of life.

To do this, we provide traditional Fixed Route bus transportation to most shopping, medical, employment, recreational, and governmental locations. Buses operate Monday through Sunday except on certain holidays. For information about our fare system please go to the Fares page.

For those individuals in the community who are unable to use traditional Fixed Route service, we provide a curb-to-curb service called Dial-A-Ride. We also have a Travel Training program that will help all community members by teaching you how to access and use public transportation through personalized training in either a group or one-on-one setting. You can learn more about these services by going to the Dial-A-Ride or Travel Training pages on this site or by calling 360-757-4433 or 1-877-584-7528.

Skagit Transit also provides Pocket Service for individuals that live beyond 3/4 of a mile from our Fixed Route service. Each pocket area is assigned two specific days each week to utilize Skagit Transit services.

Additionally, we provide specialized services for those individuals who commute outside Skagit County. these services are the "Island Connector and Bellingham Connector", which provide service to Island and Whatcom counties, and the "Everett Express", which provides service  between Skagit Station and Everett Station. We also have a Vanpool program for those  who work further away or need to be at work at hours when normal service is not provided.

Skagit Transit is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of elected officials from throughout Skagit County.

This web site is a helpful tool for customers, full of information on bus routes, schedules, fares, and much more. Visit the Contact Us page to send us your comments, because your feedback is always welcome. Your comments are also welcomed at our Citizen Advisory Committee meetings.

Enjoy your Trip!
